Add one or more additional drivers to your rental and each one will benefit from the main driver's damage/theft coverage. Adding an extra driver to your rental car is easy with Avis, simply select your vehicle group during the online reservation process. You'll then have the option to choose any extras you might want where you’ll also find the extra driver option.
Child safety
Is everybody sitting comfortably?
Faroese law demands that anyone under 12 years' old, or under 135cm in height (approx. 4ft 5ins), must use an appropriate child restraint. Simply request the seats you need at the time of booking. If you are unsure which child seat would be the best fit, take a look at the specifications below:
Baby Seat
Babies from 0 to 13 kg (Birth to approx. 12 months)
Infant Seat
Children from 9 to 18 kg (approx. 9 months to 4 years)
Child Seat
Children from 15 to 36 kg and under 135 cm in height (approx. 4 to 11 years)

Bring Back Full
No charge – even if you took the Fuel Up Front option below when you picked up your car. Simply return the car with a full tank of fuel.
Fuel Up Front
Buy a full tank of fuel upfront – at the average market pump price – so you don’t have to refuel before you return the vehicle.
Pay On Return
If you haven't got time to refuel and haven’t taken Fuel Up Front, we can do it for you. But this is the most expensive option.
Car rental cover options
Why worry? We have you covered
While our standard prices include basic cover for your complete peace of mind during your rental, we recommend additional vehicle cover to reduce your excess, covering repair or replacement of your vehicle if it is damaged. Simply add Vehicle Cover when you make your reservation online.
Excess Reduction
Adding Vehicle Cover to your reservation reduces the excess to zero on standard car groups only. When purchased for special car groups the excess will be significantly reduced.
This does not cover the vehicle windows. Please see Windscreen Protection further below.

Roadside Assistance covers breakdowns or common mishaps like flat batteries and locked-in keys, and you don‘t pay any call-out charges. Roadside Assistance can be added to your online reservation at the same time as you choose extras such as child seats and additional drivers.
Windscreen Protection covers sudden damage to any exterior window of the vehicle.
